In effect since October 18, 2026
This policy covers warmgearreport.com, run by WarmGearReport.
What we collect
- Visit data, counted by our analytics: pages read, the site that sent you, browser and device type, and a rough location such as the country.
- Contact form messages: the name, email address, topic and message you send.
The site has no accounts, comments or payments, so we hold nothing else about you.
Analytics
An analytics service counts visits and shows which guides help readers, as totals and trends. We don't use it for ads, or combine it with your name or email address.
Cookies and Do Not Track
Our analytics may set a small cookie to tell a new visit from a returning one. The site sets no advertising cookies, and it works the same if you block or delete cookies in your browser.
Do Not Track. There is no agreed standard for answering a browser's "Do Not Track" signal, so this site does not change what it does when it receives one.
Contact form and email
We use what you send through the contact form only to read and answer it, and to fix a page when you report a mistake. We keep messages while they are useful for that, then delete them, sooner if you ask.
Store links and their cookies
"Check price" links open a store (see the disclosure). When you follow one, the store, Amazon for example, may set its own cookies, and its privacy policy applies from then on. No store tells us who you are.
What happens on a store's site is covered by its own privacy policy.
Fonts, photos and hosting
Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts and some photos from image hosts. Like any web request, those servers see your IP address and browser. Our web host keeps short server logs, also with IP addresses, to keep the site running and safe.
Who we share data with
We never sell your personal information or share it for advertising. Only the services that run the site for us (our host, analytics and email tool) handle it, and only for that job. We would also hand information over if the law required it.
Your choices and rights
- Ask us what we hold about you, or to correct or delete it.
- Stop our emails with the link in any of them.
- Block cookies in your browser, or use its private mode.
Depending on your state, such as California, you may have further rights under its privacy law. Write to us and we will answer any request that law gives you.
Children
WarmGearReport is written for adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has sent us details, write to us and we will delete them.
Changes and contact
When this policy changes, we update this page. Questions about your data go to [email protected] or the contact page. See also our terms of use.
